Stablewars Season 35 Update - Week 5

Post by lfpnrg »

Stablewars Season 35 Update – Week 5

Non forum members continue to dominate Stablewars Season 35, holding 5 of the top 6 places (while inactive member Chad Champington (Chad Champington) is in 4th position.

The Abusers (176 points) remain in first place, increasing their lead over The Best (171 points) by a further 2 points. A huge 43 point week by The Best Around (161 points) has rocketed them from 31st to 6th, while last weeks third place holder cookiemonster (Snickerdoodles - 11th) has fallen out of the top ten.

Of the forum members, Jak619 (Rated 18) has jumped from 16th to 7th, with all his wrestlers bar JBL picking up points this week, while PimpinSmurf (Snack Pack Attack) remains well in contention in 8th place, 16 points off the pace. The Outsiders Matt Sin (THIS IS MADNESS!! MADNESS? THIS IS WWE!! - 152 points) is on the bubble in 13th place, but worryingly he is now 24 points behind the leader and it will be interesting to see if he can remain in contention. Trading Mickie James for Beth Phoenix has already paid dividends for Matt Sin, with Phoniex (10 points ) scoring almost as much this week as James (12 points) did in the four weeks before the trade window. The rest of his stable includes good scorers Batista and Jeff Hardy, while Kane is generally consistent and JBL could very well be this seasons surprise packet.

At the other end of things, Naturally Aivaz (Aivaz and JBL for Tag Champs - 195th/80 points) and The Federation (The Mysterious Mystery Stable Of Mysterious Mystery. - 199th/77 points) have managed to climb into the Top 200, while non member team ~~WWEPOSSE~~ remains in last place despite scoring 20 points in Week 5.

The relatively new team of Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore were the highest scoring wrestlers this week, with 12 points apiece coming from victories on ECW and Smackdown. Womens Champion Beth Phoenix scored 10 points from a title defence on RAW. None of the Main Eventers had big scoring weeks, with Triple H and CM Punk the best picking up 5 points, while the seasons leading scorer Jeff Hardy only scored 2 interference points in Week 5.

Week 6 will certainly shake things up, with Raw Roullete having the potential to offer up a few gimmick victory points and Royal Rumble qualifying matches possibly giving less used wrestlers a chance to score. The season is still wide open, though at this stage it looks like a non-member could walk away with the prize for the second season in a row.

Best Value Workers

The value of various wrestlers to a stable for the season is calculated as Points Per Million (PPM), where the total points scored by a wrestler is divided by his or her salary to determine whether they are a good value for money selection or not. For example, a wrestler who is priced at $1.00M and has scored 32 points would have a PPM value of 32.00, and a wrestler priced at $2.25M and has also scored 32 points would have a PPM value of 14.22, with the first wrestler being considered better value for the price than the second.

Jeff Hardy (51.00PPM) has been overtaken as the most valuable wrestler, although surprisingly it is ECW diva Kelly Kelly that takes the title with 51.11PPM (23 points @ 0.45). The divas continue to do well, with Beth Phoenix (48.33PPM) and Victoria (47.50PPM) among the leaders. Hardcore Holly (46.67PPM), Shannon Moore (45.00PPM) and Finlay (42.50PPM) are other midcarders with good value, while the most valuable main-eventer is currently Edge (18.26PPM).

Survival Of The Fittest Update

Everyone maintained their relative positions at the end of Week 5, with westryde9 and Xpunk still being the lowest scoring representatives. However westryde9 was able to pull away from Xpunk a little, increasing the points difference from just 1 point last week to a slightly more comfortable 8 points this week. The only wrestler that both stables have in common is Mickie James, so there is certainly plenty of room for movement for both players yet.

As of the end of Week 5, the standing for the various representatives are :

PimpinSmurf (Team Canada) - 8th (160 points)
Matt Sin (The Outsiders) - 13th (152 points)
smokey214 (Short Bus Squad) - 22nd (146 points)
Ronin (Five Horsemen) - 66th (125 points)
Charlie (The Movement) - 77th (123 points)
Franchise (Mega Powers) - 103rd (113 points)
jdrudd2 (D-Generation x) - 152nd (99 points)
westryde9 (Team Discovery Channel) - 206th (75 points)
Xpunk (Right to Censor) - 214th (67 points)

Faction Summary

The current standings and scores of each member of each of Stablewars factions have been added and averaged to calculate which faction is doing the best for the Stablewars season. The Five Horsemen were the biggest winners this week, improving their average ranking from 95th to 82nd and overtaking the Short Bus Squad in the process. Right To Censor also moved up the rankings, jumping ahead of both Team Discovey Channel and The Outsiders, although it remains to be seen if the recent changes they made to their faction membership will affect this next week. It was a terrible week however for the Mega Powers, with all of their members dropping out of the top 100, blowing their average ranking out to 155th, a long way behind The Movement's 132nd.

Western Union – 3 players - Average Rank : 28th - Average Points : 145.67
United World Order – 6 players - Average Rank : 54th - Average Points : 135.00
Team Canada - 7 players - Average Rank : 79th - Average Points : 124.43

Hehe RTC kicks out the 2nd ranked guy in their faction
Saying Dirk might be top ten is far less ignorant than thinking that Carmelo is number one all-time.

No JCF, I obviously don't think that. I clearly said hopefully. And clearly offered up quite a bit for him.

You're the stupid motherfucker though, with your Carmelo is #1 all-time theory.
The changes will be counted from Week 6, but for interests sake I'll do the maths :

Old Right to Censor - 6 players - Average Rank : 98th - Average Points : 115.17

21 - KAW Style (The Legend Killer OWNS) - 147
23 - The most awesome stable ever (johncenafan) - 146
72 - Hooch is Crazy (yankeesjc13) - 124
74 - The Gang is all here (PujolsisGOD5) - 123
183 - The Flock (amazingmanderrr) - 88
217 - the BAM got 'yall by the balls (the BAM) - 63

New Right to Censor - 5 players - Average Rank : 97th - Average Points : 114.20

21 - KAW Style (The Legend Killer OWNS) - 147
23 - The most awesome stable ever (johncenafan) - 146
72 - Hooch is Crazy (yankeesjc13) - 124
74 - The Gang is all here (PujolsisGOD5) - 123
102 - Madness Is Back (Madness Kid) - 114
183 - The Flock (amazingmanderrr) - 88
217 - the BAM got 'yall by the balls (the BAM) - 63

So their average rank improved by one place, but their average points went down fractionally.

Updated *again* to include Weekly Best & Worst Scorers as well as Wrestler and Stable Win/Loss records.

Which RTC member was among 11 stable who failed to score a point in Week 4? And which is the only stable yet to suffer a loss?
