During the first half-hour of the Superstar Shake-up on Raw tonight, new arrival to Raw Jinder Mahal was forced to defend his title against Brother Nero, Jeff Hardy. Hardy was able to capture his first US Championship and in the process, trips15 was able to win his 2nd US Championship which is also his 9th WWE TW win and 10th overall TW win. PimpinSmurf's reign also ends after only 8 days.

Of course I'm not watching Raw so I wasn't expecting to see a thread like this pop up. That's quite interesting tho. Congrats trips!

Ugh! I was hoping I was safe and noone would pick him. I'm guessing this means either Rollins or Jeff is going to SDL. I hate Jinder to RAW for this very reason. Totally buried on his first night.

I'd assume Jeff will go to SD. Orton is #1 contender for Backlash. Or Orton could just win it at Backlash if Jeff isn't moved to SD.

Oh but young @legendkiller003, you are forgetting a very important show inbetween: the GRRE. Jinder invoked his re-match immediately after he lost so I think you're overlooking a very, um, probable other reason they did this. To spark interest in the superstar shakeup --- Hardy and Jinder were trending 3rd and 7th respectively right after the match --- and build a big match for the GRRE with possibly changing the US Title outside of the US for the first time ever. Don't quote me on that as it might have changed hands in Japan during the WCW/Japan inter-promotional stuff in the 80s/90s.

Well without seeing Raw yet I wouldn’t know that he invoked his rematch. We’ll have to see what happens tomorrow tho.

However if I can avoid seeing another Orton/Jinder borefest at Backlash I'll be pretty happy about that.
