Re: Wrestlemania 2015 Play-Per-View
I agree Mack but like LK said, these are the rules we made. And that's why I was such a proponent of rules, regardless of what they were, just so we could point to the rules for guidance and say okay, that's the rule so we do this. It sucks for the upset pickers of Trips but I myself feel it is a significant change so I don't mind that it's tossed. And I go back to this, if it was always stated as these only pin/submission stips, it would be more of a toss-up than the 94-10 or whatever it was and you'd have a ton more Trips picks. And honestly, I loved the WCW/WWE nostalgia except for them painting the nWo and Hollywood Hogan as good guys but hey.

Re: Wrestlemania 2015 Play-Per-View
No fucking way. No one would pick this different if it was a 4 hour iron man match! You picked Sting because he was coming back for redemption, no matter what the rules were. That's the most stupid thing I've heard. Yes, i'm legitimately accusing you of just trolling around now, because i simply refuse to believe anyone would've changed their pick based on that!
And i'd also like to add, that we are a minority that discussed these things, and calls for these strict rules and whatnot. We have a lot of casual players, and to them it's gonna look incredibly weird why the Triple H/Sting match wasn't being scored, when you predicted on it. I'd say we are very much pissing all over our casual players in this situation, and this is why i still think the individual case should be up to the scorekeepers to decide.

Re: Wrestlemania 2015 Play-Per-View
On another point. Has the scoring been finalized or is it just showing the "Seth Rollins" leaves Mania as champ as 0 points based on some weird ruling?

Re: Wrestlemania 2015 Play-Per-View
@MVH: I personally don't like the loosey goosey we'll decide it on a case by case basis and I'm not the only one so that's why we wanted to come up with clear cut rules so we didn't have to sit here and debate opinions of what would clearly be a subjective decision. But yes I believe wholeheartedly that you wouldn't get 94 of out 103 picks for Sting if this was announced as the No DQ like rules pre-match. If it was, I know I myself would have second guessed my pick and might have picked Trips instead if I knew they weren't gonna DQ interference.
@Matt: I'm not sure why that shows like that. I will double-check the DB later and see why that's not being scored for people and get the scoring re-done. I just want to confirm with Mack/Macho/etc that the Trips/Sting match should be changed to not scored before re-running any the scoring.

Re: Wrestlemania 2015 Play-Per-View
This is why we voted on this crap. To avoid any lengthy discussion and eliminate any grey areas.
If I knew it was a no DQ match I would've picked Triple H.

I see what you're saying MVH, I might not have changed it if I knew it was No DQ, but this is exactly why we took a vote about the rules. I'm glad we did too, because now we don't have to discuss it. The stip got changed, so we don't score it. Simple as that.

Re: Wrestlemania 2015 Play-Per-View
And that's why I suggested making it cut & dry in the first place. None of this grey area crap, especially since I was on the wrong end of both controversial matches on a PPV. No more picking and choosing what counts and what doesn't.Mackinlee wrote:I see what you're saying MVH, I might not have changed it if I knew it was No DQ, but this is exactly why we took a vote about the rules. I just need to know if I wont the Grand Championship... and I fully endorse whatever ruling makes that happen.

Lol. There's a little hiccup with the bonus questions not actually counting if you got em correct as well as multiple different variations of the same wrestlers entered for the fill in the blank bonus.

Re: Wrestlemania 2015 Play-Per-View
WINNER: Dark Spirit (MEM)
WrestleMania win all up in the roll. Another WrestleMania has come and gone, and it was another stellar show. Three new champions crowned, a Beast dethroned, legends returned, and some pretty great matches. Unpredictable too. Unfortunately we had to throw out two of the matches, but we still had plenty to score on. He might not have got a perfect card, but Dark Spirit was able to rack up 313 points to earn him the big Play-Per-View victory. This is his first WWE PPV win, previously winning two UFC PPVs. Casual players landing in the Top Ten is Matt Sin in third, SeeDub is 8th, RoMo in 9th, and MVH in 10th. Dark Spirit also wins a free WWE DVD. Congrats
