Because it was a handicap match and not a tag match as it was billed.

Fuggly, I think you need to wait for TNAwrestling.com's word on the main event. It sounds like they were trying to do the typical post-match-with-disputed-finish aftermath where both guys get announced as champion, but the PPV companies cut them off for time reasons before they could do Sting's half of it. If that's the case then you'd have to score the match a draw.

thanks for the clarification, I didnt get to watch it and just have got online havent read over the full ppv results. I thought they'd made it the fuckin dark match AGAIN.

In this instance, though, it's pretty clear that the title would be vacated should the match be declared a draw. Whether it was via Sting pinning him or Sting tapping out to Angle, Christian lost. It's kinda like how Trips "jobbed" the title in the three-way on RAW with Benoit & Edge back in late '04.
