I made picks, but no PM even though I always leave it checked. Hopefully there won't be a glitch and I lose my picks like at the Rumble. That cost me a few points in the Grand Championship.

Well as far as I can remember, Watsuki hasn't said that that particular problem has been resolved yet.

Well I cant enter your picks for you since i wouldnt have your password and I may not be near a PC anyhow.
If you're worried about your picks somehow erasing, just send them by PM to Watsuki before the PPV.

No need to worry. I know I still haven't fixed the PM problem, but I put another fail-safe in place. Every time picks are entered I get an email containing the picks, essentially creating a paper-trail, or a log of picks, for me. So should picks somehow get lost or corrupted I still have every pick in an email. It'll be a tedious process to reload from that, but at least they're there. I'm also backing up the database much more frequently.

BTW, the Royal Rumble problem was due to a problem in my code afterall, and could have happened at any PPV since automation. I have fixed it so really we shouldn't have something like happen again.

As for the PM problem, I still haven't had much time to look into it. The private message tables changed significantly from phpBB2 to phpBB3, and I'm having troubles figuring out how to replicate what I did.

I'm curious as to what exactly happened with the picks. Or is it too technical, too boring or too embarrising to state the exact cause?
I used to post a lot here. Then I took a meme to the cake.

I suppose it would classify as embarrassing. For non-forum members I record the Name and Email, for forum members just the Name (ie leave the Email blank). When a non-forum member changes their picks it searches by email address and updates the pick that matches the email address. What happened was this Omnivore guy left his email address blank. So his initial pick went in fine, since that just adds a record. But when he edited his picks, it searched for picks with the matching email address (blank), which was himself and every forum member (because the email field is blank for forum members). So it overwrote every forum members picks with his since they all matched the criteria.

I've prevented blank email addresses now, something I should have done from the start. But it could have happened at any point in the past had someone entered a blank email address then edited their picks.

Just something to keep in mind for picks... TNA recently changed their rules to match WWE where titles no longer change hands on a DQ.

It's pretty obvious why they did that, IMO.

Any reason the Williams/Steiner match wasn't included?

Probably because it was added at the last minute, after the Play-Per-View registration opened up. TNA has been known to do that.
