Destination X 2008 Play Per ReView: hbk24, Mega Powers win!

Post by Charlie »

Another month, another terrible TNA PPV.

THE WINNERS

DESTINATION X 2008 WINNER
hbk24

It was a night for huge upsets, and you only had a chance of winning if you could correctly guess them all. hbk24 did just that, scoring 52 points from LAX, 61 points from Shark Boy & Curry Man, and 74 points from Robert Roode. He had built up so many points that he could afford to miss one match, incorrectly guessing that James Storm would beat Rhino. Runner-Up 619fan also got all the upsets correct, but his miss (Kaz & Eric Young) lost him 25 points. hbk24's miss was only worth 16 points. 619fan had a third place finish for TNA's show in January, so he's inching closer to victory. For hbk24, this is his second TNA Play Per View Championship. His first came at Bound for Glory 2007.

FACTION CHAMPIONSHIP
The Mega Powers 185.0 points per a player

By a margin of only 2.5 points, the Mega Powers are the champions of TNA Destination X 2008. They edged out the Five Horsemen, who were the only team that had two players with over 200 points. The Horsemen were once again anchored down by the dead weight of Ronin, who was as worthless here as he was at No Way Out 2008. A source inside the Horsemen tells me that Ronin is clearly intentionally sandbagging and plans to jump ship to a new faction any time now. Will they beat him to the punch by firing him first? Or will by source bail and join the reformed DX? Stay tuned... For the Mega Powers, this is their first Play Per View Championship as a faction. We've still had no repeat champions since the creation of this title in January. And worth noting is the epic choke by The Flock. They had the winner of the game and still only pulled off a sixth place finish in the faction standings
1. Mega Powers 185.0
2. Five Horsemen 182.5
3. Team Discovery Channel 153.0
4. Team Canada 150.5
5. Western Union 133.6
6. The Flock 129.5
7. The Movement 128.0
8. The Outsiders 126.0
9. Right to Censor 99.2

TOP PLAYERS BY FACTION
1. hbk24 (The Flock)
3. Fuggly Bastard (Mega Powers)
6. Biznich (Five Horsemen)
8. KoolMoeDee (Team Discovery Channel)
9. Cochis (Team Canada)
10. Federation (The Movement)
18. Matt Sin (Outsiders)
29. pabscm (Western Union)
51. Madness Kid (Right To Censor)

Lethal Lottery High Scorers
Charlie & Federation 352

The Movement did put up one good showing for Destination X. In the Lethal Lottery, both myself and Fed were paired together and we combined for the highest score. This is my second time posting the high score (the first time was with the1andonlyjer), making me the only player to be part of the high scoring team twice.

PPV Wars Top 25%
1 . The Biznich
2 . Cochis
3 . Matt Sin
4 . Jak619

For Matt Sin & Jak619, it's their second-straight PPV in the top 25% among PPV Wars players. Pretty impressive.

THE LOSERS

LOWEST SCORE
Mrs KoolMoeDee
Second-straight TNA Play Per View finishing dead last

In the "you have to be kidding me department" Mrs KoolMoeDee finishes dead last... again. Twice in a row? That's so shameful it's like we should all give her a hug just for trying.

Survival Victim: TBD

Lethal Lottery Victims
Hillbilly Nick & The Legend Killer OWNS

Speaking of shameful, the team of Hillbilly Nick & TLKO lost to a team where 50% of it's players... didn't even play! Actually, two teams finished under the team of KMD & "Aivaz the No Show Ho", but lfpnrg's 172 points more then made up for picture perfection's crappy 41 point effort. Thus, the Nick (102 points) and TLKO (95 points) are eliminated. And Nick had the nerve to say that it was TLKO that sucked. Nick, Nick, Nick... you both sucked.

Low Player by Faction
86. pitcher perfection (The Flock)
82. vacuole (Western Union)

Such rumours....hmmmm?

Is Charlie planning a DX takeover?

Are Ronin and Charlie really the same person, only better at it than the plow?

Many more questions in store on the next episode of....
